4 Day Jungle Tours in the Nam Ha NPA

Choose From The Following Combination Tours

Mona Hata

2 Days Kayak & 2 Days Trekking

DAY 1

After crossing the Nam Tha river by boat, you will start this challenging trek up through a mix of beautiful primary, secondary and bamboo forest with some of the oldest trees in the NPA. Continue your trek until you arrive at our remote Fisherman Camp, in the middle of the jungle, for your refreshing swim in the Nam Ha River. Now it is time for you to relax, enjoy dinner at the campfire and watch fireflies before falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle.

DAY 2

After breakfast, your climb will be difficult but will be rewarded with a stunning mountain view. Hike on down the mountain to the Lanten village of Ban Nam Koy where you will have lunch. Continue along the dirt road to Ban Nalan. Here you will learn about Khmu culture and daily life. In the evening you can relax or help prepare your dinner. You can spend the night in either a villager’s home or in a specially built house for visitors.

DAY 3

After a hearty breakfast, it is time for you to hit the water. The first section of river you will kayak down is the Nam Ha River, where you will enjoy the jungle scenery surrounding you. For the second part, you will kayak further down the Nam Tha River to Ban Sin Oudom, your village homestay for the night.

DAY 4

Spend the morning exploring the village and asking questions to your English-speaking guide about local life and customs. Once you hit the water, you will continue down the Nam Tha River, soaking in more scenery and maybe another village or two.
