Kayak & Trekking in Laos
DAY 1
After receiving instructions from your guide, you will hit the water! This trip offers you nice jungle views on your right and ethnic minority villages on your left. It is adventurous in wet season and chilled out kayaking in dry season. You will kayak down the Nam Tha River and stop at several ethnic minority villages to learn about their life. You will spend the night in a village homestay.
DAY 2
You will cross the Nam Tha River by boat to enter the Nam Ha NPA. On your trek, you will be trekking in laos, through primary and secondary forest, and in wet season, past a small waterfall. It won’t take long to find out why we call this the bird trail: the birds will serenade you along the way.
Kayak, Jungle Camp & Trek
DAY 1

You will spend the night at our Confluence Camp.
DAY 2
Spend the morning swimming, relaxing, and learning jungle cooking. After an early lunch, cross the river to start this challenging trek up through a beautiful mix of primary, secondary and bamboo forest with some of the oldest trees in the Nam Ha NPA. Eat your lunch of local food on the mountaintop while soaking in the views. Continue until you reach the Nam Tha River again where you can celebrate with a refreshing swim.
Jungle, Homestay, and Kayak
DAY 1
The first half hour is quite steep, but after you ascend into the jungle, the terrain becomes a lot easier to navigate. After 4-5 hours of trekking, you will arrive in the Khmu village Ban Nalan. In the evening you can relax or help prepare your dinner. You can spend the night in either a villager’s home or in a specially built house for visitors.
DAY 2
After a hearty breakfast, it is time for you to hit the water. The first section of river you will kayak down is the Nam Ha River, where you will enjoy the jungle scenery surrounding you. For the second part, you will kayak further down the Nam Tha River visiting ethnic minority villages along the way.
Jungle, Jungle Camp & Kayak Adventure
DAY 1
Take a deep breath and start your challenging and long trek. The terrain starts easy, but will get more difficult once you get deeper into the jungle. After a village visit and a mountain view, you will head on to our remote Fisherman Camp, where you can relax around a campfire.
DAY 2
After a hearty breakfast, it is time for you to hit the water. The first section of river you will kayak down is the Nam Ha River, where you will enjoy the jungle scenery surrounding you. For the second part, you will kayak further down the Nam Tha River visiting ethnic minority villages along the way.
Jungle, Jungle Camp & Kayak Adventure
DAY 1
Your guide will give you kayaking or rafting instructions on the riverbank before you hit the water. Kayak down the Nam Ha River, right through the heart of the Nam Ha National Protected Area. Along your 24 km trip, you will pass 3 jungle villages where you can stop and learn about their local life.
You will continue down the river to our remote Fisherman Camp. Help your guide prepare dinner or relax and have a swim.
DAY 2
Today you have your choice of three trails depending on how much of a challenge you seek. Your choice is the shortest (4 hr), the middle (5 hr), or the longest (6 hr). Each trail goes through sections of mixed primary forest and contain sections with steep ups and downs. The longer two include mountain views.
Enjoy a filling breakfast and a hearty lunch of local and jungle food before along the way.
Jungle, Homestay & Kayak Adventure
DAY 1
After meeting your guide and bicycle, you will head toward the NPA. You will turn to follow a dirt road over hills connecting several villages in the jungle. As you cycle, your guide can answer questions about the plants of the jungle as well as local village life. You will have time to walk around the villages, have dinner, and spend the night in a village homestay.
DAY 2
Enjoy a hearty Lao breakfast and get ready to hit the water! After receiving kayaking instructions from your guide, you will enter the Nam Ha River. Head through the heart of the NPA and enjoy the jungle scenery all around you.
Have your lunch of local and jungle food on the riverbank or at one of our Jungle Camps on the way.
Our treks are adventurous and requires that trekkers be in good health. Be the end of your trek you will rightly feel tired.
But boy is it rewarding.
All of our guides speak great english and are fun people to be around. They were raised in the jungle, so they know everything about it.
